Personally I can't comment on 112/113 vs 101 since I have only done the 101 section. The Destination Highways map does define 112 all the way to Neah Bay, and 113, as DHs so they must be good. Hopefully someone that has done it will give an opinion.

One option is to go an check it out on Google Maps street view. I have done that with a few roads with good results.

Hurricane Ridge south from Port Angeles would also be a great side trip.

Good reminder - I actually have DH Washington on my bookshelf... D'oh.

Looks like 101 might be the more scenic route along the lakeside, with 112/113 not really providing the coastal views I was hoping for.

I can't get Google Maps to even acknowledge DH43 (Hoh-Clearwater Rd)... I'm gonna go flick through DH and check out the other legs of the trip to see how many I can tick off this year... :)

Thanks again!

Dave

Hwy. 112 is a fun and interesting road, corners, elevation changes, surface is OK but not the best, scenery get better after Sekiu.

All most forgot rumble strips divide lanes that sucks, and log trucks. Hwy. 113 is boring to me but ok. Hurricane Ridge is cool but cages get in the way.
