7 for 7 baby on contested tickets in Washington State today. Case dismissed for 60 in 55. And I even got to admit I was speed, but doing it according to RCW 46.61.625 and it's OK to speed when passing under certain conditions!

Boo-Yah! :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

Wa and Or suck for slight over-speeding.

Old Michael to the penalty 'courtesy' phone please?

Oh, Congrats Iggie! :yahoo:

Does this contribute to your political resume????

Good job on beating another one :yahoo: . I'm not going to try to keep up :)

So throw us a bone and help the rest of us poor *******s here in WA know how you made the other 6 go away?
It all started when I got a ticket I didn't deserve. I researched the heck out of it and found the connection of laws that says "speed limit signs shall be placed at the point a speed limit changes" and convinced the judge the cop shouldn't have written me a ticket because the sign was poorly place. Since then I find you are innocent until proven guilty....and I'm going to make them go through the motions. Since then they haven't been able to do it. *

Others include demonstrating it was another car, being denied due process of law because they didn't provide copies of the material they were going to use against me in discovery, police report of tuning fork not matching the state calibration notes (assist....helped get Warchild off this one), incorrect venue (even my real attorney was impressed by this one), and one old-fashioned case of a friend that knew the prosecutor and got off.

Best advice is to don't get one to begin with. Taking time off work sucks.

But if you do....homework, practice in front of a judge, and finding a reason for a judge to believe your word over a paper form are invaluable life skills. ;)

* Except where it's not feasible to take a day off work and fight the ticket (i.e. Kansas, Nebraska, or Nevada)....and I'm most familiar with Washington State courts of "limited jurisdiction".
