waterproof riding suit

About 10 yrs ago, I purchase a basic set at a rally. Good for general use, but not on the cycle. Only had snaps on the front of the jacket and elastic on the cuffs. About 5 years ago, purchased an upgrade that had a zipper with fold over material and velcro straps on the sleeves. I still got very wet in a couple of days of heavy rain on the Alcan. I purchased a Tour Master in Anchorage for the ride home.

I have always favored one-piece suits.

never have to worry about getting a draft between jacket and pants.

Just make sure they have a GOOD zipper.

I have also had good experience with Tour Master products, although there are many as mentioned that are of good quality.

My experience with the Froogs have not been good, seems split on both jacket and pants and not because I was too big or they were too small. Like others have mentioned, I got wet.

BTW don't let them come in contact with hot exhaust...they melt.

I have had a set of tour masters rain gear. The Zipper just broke and now the jacket is useless. They were waterproof the first season but after that forget it. I need to get something new also. It won't be a tour master set this time around.

After having several Tourmaster jackets, I've got to say that the Tourmaster Chinese put on wimpier zippers than the other MFRs Chinese.

+1 Road Toads. Bought them last year and wore them in a tornado producing thunder-boomer. Dry as a chip, except where I wet my pants from the inside.
