Picked the FJR up May 3th Thursday, had to work Friday, Saturday, Sunday great riding weather, starting to find the handle on the FJR. Monday,, vacation starts YeeHee, rode the roads in South Central Wisconsin, 12 hours in the saddle, arms tired, legs tired, Right wrist sore, butts sore. Feels great. Tuesday & Wednesday can't ride family matters, Thursday Drizzle Rain overcast all day, I don't care, I rode down to Southern Illinois to find Moonshine, Il population 2 ("best hamburgers in the world"). I found it to late they close at 12:30, but I don't care just an excuse to come back. Friday cold rain all day long. I pace around the house, tried watching TV blah!, but I saw the commercal for Turtle Wax Ice, hum, no white residue the man said. Off to Autozone, back to the garage, pull the FJR out to center stage, and go to work. After a couple of hours of rubbing and wiping the FJR is a bright and shinning masterpiece, and guess what, that waxey white residue that collects in all the creases and crevices, the ones you have to use Q-tips and toothbruses to remove, well they are just not there. this stuff really works. :yahoo:

Good to know. I hate the white crapola and the associated pain in my arse removing it. I will give this stuff a try.

No kidding about the Q-tips and such. Turtle Wax Ice, huh? All right. The carnauba wax does a fine job but it's messy, especially when the oil separates.

Must be the same formula as Meguiars Tech wax, which I've been using for a year now. No residue, shines like a mofo, no powder, no white. Works equally well on all the black trim and the bags.

If you get your bike wet when washing try EagleOne "Wax As You Dry". Work great and does not leave waxy residue. I like it because you spray it on the wet bike/car and wipe dry. Done!

John

Another quickie for on the road or at the show - Plexus.

And no white residue either.

You gotta have dreams, Groo. You never know, you might live to be 150 or so.

That's not a dream... that's a nightmare... like that one where you're running up the never-ending escalator...

I heard the Honda Spray may be history, at least in The Rainbow West, due to new VOC regs. And TP? :****: :D Note my ability to quote. Practice makes perfect. ;)
