Just finished repairs/upgrades/service brought on by my spill coming home from EOM. A more extended post will probably follow. More immediately, since I was installing braided front lines the time was right for a complete flush of the system (no line changes but clutch and rear brakes bled as well). I was giving the bike a thorough visual after a 25 mile shakedown and noticed fresh brake fluid on the left front caliper...
It's a little tough to see...sorry it's dark in the garage and the flash kind of washes things out. However, you can see a brake fluid stain around the bleeder. I cleaned the area thoroughly with brakeclean after I noticed the leak so I'm still getting seepage with the bike just sitting. I've also notice the a little seepage on the right caliper as well. So far the clutch and rear bleeders are fine.
Both front bleeders are tight. I haven't had this happen before. The bleeders are not corroded. The rubber caps were in place. I'm going to see if I can source speed bleeders or stock replacements locally. I've been off the bike so long I just can't wait for another out-of-town order. Anything else I should try?
Tks.
