I was unemployed for over 18 months and finally got a local gig last September. I'm not dissing the paycheck, but boy I sure do miss that time off to get stuff done (or go ridin'!)!

Echoing the last two posts, I diligently pursued employment after being laid off. But one or two interviews a week leaves a LOT of time to ride, to clean up the 'honey-do' list, to cook/clean/launder, and to hang out with the kids.

Don't let the bad aspects of this period outweigh the potential fun you could be having! (Or the potential brownie points you can earn!)

Oh I am staying busy. Cycling about 100 miles a week. I have lost 54 pounds since the first of the year, attacking the low hanging fruit projects. Our 11 year old camper needs some love. I am certainly not idle. Have another interview tomorrow but it would mean a 70 mile one way commute, which, I am not thrilled about. My wife started a new job this week so we have more income now.

Was going to ride out to CO to see some old friends, but then it snowed. I plan to do a trip here soon. If anything just up to the boundary waters.
