So lately I've been catching crap from several noobs here..

Well I have to say it's probably deserved as it seems the forum has changed from the days of my online friend and forum God TWN

Tim told me 9 years ago to be myself and don't hold back and I took it to heart..Tim was more than a God here he was the heart of this forum.

However times change but old fukers like me don't.. So when you new kids get all butt hurt because I call it as I see it??? well by golly ain't that just too bad!

I Will never have the patience of Tim nor do I want to..
A spade is a spade and a noob is a noob if he or she asks a 15 times answered question if you can'tt follow the directions pointed out when you sign up?? Well I assure you , you will take a shot from me.. AND guess what?

You calling me a meany or worse don't bother me in the least.. Life is hard and if u are incapable of following directions or get butt hurt when some of us are rude?? Maybe you should slap your parents for making you a cry baby.

Granted time have changed here since Tim has passed i think it's time some of you new kids get a clue

Lately it seems the majority of new kids can't read the sign up sheet.

Toss this if ya feel it's against the mothers of america admins. They are wholly responsible for my negative attitude

Barry

Make sense to me.
Brother Bounce, don't pay any attention to the ravings of this hopeless DIPSHIT! HotRodZilla says Bustanut joker is too damn dumb to walk and chew gum at the same time, Papa Chuy Viejo says this Michigan Moron could not even open a pack of gum! STUPID would walk in a **** storm!

Dear Newbies: Continue to jimmy kick this DORK in the apple sacks! This JERK is too goofy to breed, luckily Mizz Bustanut likes the Mailman! JSNS!

Just how much of a ******** is Barry? If you stand six feet tall, how in the HELL do you think you can walk through an entryway only 5'-7" tall! JSNS, muy Estupido ese!

There are a lot of "Novice Questions" lately. I have wondered about the source of this, is it the rise in popularity of the Gen3? The pretty pink, (Sorry! I meant RED!) 2014 probably brought in a lot of new blood.

Perhaps as we have gravitated to being a kinder, gentler forum the stinging pain of posting a question before you search is not seen as often. In the "Old Days" you knew that if you posted a question that had been asked and answered repeatedly that the wrath and sarcasm of the forum would cut you off at the knees. Without that incentive, without that fear of being publicly called out, there is no real incentive to actually do a search. There is no incentive to actually read and study the goodness of the forum.

On the other side of that coin, even using the Google search method I am frequently unable to find certain information on the forum. Often I am searching for something I know very well is here, I just cannot find it. This is not due to forum glitches, or the forum's own weak search function, it is just the way it is. If Google cannot find it, how can a Noob?

And yes, I do understand that often once the information is located there will be pages and pages of added...nothing. It can be frustrating to wade through several pages of drivel when you really need a key piece of information so you can put the fairing back together on your Gen2.

I do wish that the noobs would actually read the rules that they say they read when they sign up for this place. It does make things go more smoothly.

Oh, and Bust? Based on what I see "Toast" is not the proper term. With your shape, I would think "Biscuit" would be a more accurate description.

Bust is hitting the Cialis again. :)

Actually, I've thought Bust has been fairly quiet recently. Bust, you must be feeling better.

Barry nailed it!! A reality check is good at times.

Don, did you take extra meds this morning?? Maybe you need your keyboard Imodium fix. Kidding maybe.:) :) :) JSNS

This is just like listening to a table full of old men at my Aunt's retirement home bitching and moaning because the new residents don't realize there are rules about who sits where. And just like at the home the main problem is somebody's colostomy bag is backed up and they are full of ****. But this place would not be same without the air being tainted with the aroma of the **** being spread around by some of our venerated elders. Keep it flowing and make sure the newbs get a face full when the need it. As a relative newcomer I can tell you I didn't feel really welcomed until BJ told me to go phuk myself.

That is the single goal that the "threadjacking" initiative was meant to address.

Speaking as a NOOB. I bought my Candy Red (it's not ******* pink, dammit. My 18 year old nephew said the same damn thing, the little dink.) last November. The very first technical question I had got punched into google, and the results brought me here. So I read. And read. And read.

In reading, I got a pretty good feel of the atmosphere. Holy ****, I will search before I ask a question. If I ask a stupid question, I expect to be taken to the woodshed, though I fear that might mean something involving sheep and dirty knees in the case of Barry.

I am not entitled to your knowledge because I bought a motorcycle. In my humble opinion, if I find anything here offensive, or god forbid somebody hurt my feelings, I am free to remove this forum from my favorites list.

I'm not willing to change who I am for anybody on this forum, and I'd be pretty damn disappointed if anybody else felt that they had to that.

I'd "LIKE" this twice if I could. I approached my arrival here the exact same way. I'm old enough to lose patience with "that guy" and I certainly don't want to be "that guy" either. After my initial post, I sat back and read a lot - not just to learn about my bike but to get the feel of the folks who hang out here. It was a long time before I jumped into the fray and I was damn careful about the way my words could or would be interpreted before I hit "Post".

It doesn't say FNG for a while just because it's funny...

Every forum has it's own je ne sais quoi... this one's is very unique and a bit different than others. As with all forums that I have joined, I usually just stalk the place a bit, get a feel for it, watch the inmates, and try to be respectful of it and those that post here... well, and give a little **** upon occasion when needed as well... what can I say... I'm a giver.

Also, I never judge anyone from their posts until I have met them in person... I can say with 100% accuracy that everyone I have met from this site are genuinely very good people no matter what they post... even Barry.

Geez Ty! You feeling OK?

So where have you been Sir Barry?, and, when did I miss you getting all this **** upon grief from newbies?

To me... (and I know. who gives a flying fawk?) YOU are the humor in and on this Forum. Your name says it all. I think it breaks up the doldrums and the repetitiveness so to speak. Stay true to yourself as well as to us. Now take back over as the Forum Joker cuz interm 'DonS.' is killing us with all of his blarney Irish humor stufff, that only he really gets. ;-)

Peace out.
