The weekend after... please, please, please!!!

@Heidi/luvtoride,
Have you been on these ST.net rides before?  What are they like?

Can you give a brief description?  How many riders show up?

-edit-  I see that the link answers the following two questions -edit-  :cownoy:

Do people go out on a pre-arranged ride?  Or do they ride from a list of routes?
Wheaton... I've never done one of ST.net's rallies but did do a run that was organized by one of their members last year. I think that after all was said & done(there was a little whoopsy with one of the bikes that was coming to meet us... low side with injuries) we ended up with 6 bikes.

I'm pretty sure that they've got like 20 or 25 registered so far... & the National is a few months off. I'd expect more.

I really cannot give a brief description. I do believe that you'd be responsible for making your own rides & making your own ride groups... although, I'm sure someone will post up with some routes.

This sounds like fun to me. I'm hoping to hook up & ride with some like minded individuals who have similar riding styles. I'm not a speed demon but can hold my own while performing the twisting & sweeping dance.

Hope to see you come and hang with us. I'll bet there will end up being some joiners from the Feej group.

Heidi,

Thanks for the response. I will be coming if yamaholic sets up the Ramble at the same time. I don't come from a sportbike background, so I'll just be following all you fast riders around the roads ;) . I'm really psyched!

I can't read Mike/yamaholic's mind, but I guess I presumed that he was considering the Friday and Saturday AFTER the Wednesday/Thursday ST meet.

Frankly, I couldn't imagine it being the Friday and Sat before. That would leave 3 days between the two events and wouldn't tie the two events together...

Well, I'm sure we'll hear from yamaholic soon...

Wheaton, I'm not a big sporter... but don't like to go slow, either. Fairly quick (for me, anyway) and smooth... that's my motto! I definitely want any speed demons in front of me. You'd probably be good riding along with me. I like to check out some of the scenery, too. I'll bet it's going to be breathtaking!

I'm going to be a go for both of these events... & I'm really psyched about both.

Heidi

You are correct! Sorry for the lack of communication lately. My company is going through a merger at the moment and I'm knee deep in sorting through the new order.

I expect to have firm dates, a firm hotel with a group rates, and a tentative route set by the end of the month. Stay tuned for details!

I am thinking seriously about coming down for this. Depends on my work schedule and whatever else comes up before we finalize the dates.

Hey Mike,

It shouldn't be that hard to sort through...

Just put yourself at President then let everybody else sort through what job they want :D ...

...Regarding the WV Ramble:

since you are planning on having it that SAME time as the ST.meet, I will plan on doing the ST meet also.

Thanks for all the planning work "el presidente!"
