Pitchers! Er wee gunna halve pitchers, tew? D'ya be thinkin' thet hostelery wood halve summa thet technologicalistic connecticals fer thet? En uh skreen er gigantical tellyvision?Potentially interesting proposal(?), yet I will be remiss at WFO-9!
However, my question would be, "will the lecture include Video or Powerpoint?"
Actually, Don, that could be done. IIRC, wasn't TWN's memorial service streamed? Some of you have the necessary skills, talent and equipment.Of ethernetis, feegeritis, and riding de motobikus. Excellent!
Maybe we could stream his speech to the inernets - ustream anyone?
Well, **** Hans. You're only saying that because you know it's a heck of a lot harder to be accurate with a pitcher than a longneck. Most of us biker saloon pitchers practice pitching with Bud longnecks.
On that subject, I saw this great comment today from the San Francisco Chronicle's sagacious and articulate movie critic, Mick LaSalle, which I think is on point in possibly understanding our colleague's abhorence of too many paragraphs:In the deep andincitinginsightful words of FJRless:
...I made it half-way through the second paragraph before I realized your post was actually ...3 or ...4 paragraphs long. About that time, I concluded that you are quite full of yourself. Then I remembered one other of your posts that left me with the same impression. Kudos to anyone who actually managed to finish the read You must have ample time on your hands and the patience of Job.
or -The old quip: I refuse to have a battle of wits with an unarmed man.
Before or after the video editing?just make sure somebody gets a good video made and get it posted. i really want to see this. ( i think)
Dude these are not pitchers them's just shot glasses.......Well, **** Hans. You're only saying that because you know it's a heck of a lot harder to be accurate with a pitcher than a longneck. Most of us biker saloon pitchers practice pitching with Bud longnecks.
Sounds like the speech I gave at my local Toastmasters club last week, "What the heck is ATGATT?".But I'm pretty sure the title of it will be something like, "What in the Hell is it with FJRs Anyway?” Or if not that, maybe, “The FJR: WTF?!”
Last drink? How about some humor thrown in? That's all imbibing people on vacation really care about......that last drink with Fairlaner before I have to go up to the podium....
So I'm working on my speech for Friday night's WFO dinner. I guess it's coming along all right, so I figured I could share some of it with my fellow forum brothers and sisters.
