dcarver,

Who’s the rider with the 06 (Rifle shield, custom seat??, & blk/gry jacket on the tank-bag) in the fifth pic from the top? Am specifically interested in that nice looking seat. Would like to know which brand it is?

By the way, nice pics. Would like to have been there.

Thanks,

shokdimn :bike:

You're in luck.. I know that bike, it's MINE! Bill, aka 'Rocky Mayer seat. Colorado will soon be here.. yah gotta go..

Copy last, thanks. Just finished looking at Pix 4 & 5 and realized it must be you. That is a nice looking seat. Any problem being able to do 300 to 500 miles in a day, for several days in a row, on one like that?

Thanks

He wouldn't know. He is the founder of the CBA don't you know. But yes, Rocky Mayer seats are very popular and should easily get you to well past the 300-500 miles in a day comfort zone.

And as for you mister head candyass - Great pics mang!

Thanks Skooter. Been fooling around customizing my OEM seat. Works OK for local riding but isn’t up to the task of a LD tour. Was leaning toward a RDL if I got one but I sure like the looks of dcarver’s R.Mayer seat.

Guarantee ya I could stand a good dose of riding around in the CO high-country. Also, never been to Nevada. It looked like ya’ll were in fantastic riding country. I gotta get out there someday and see the sights.

The nice '05 LD prepped bike belongs to Roger VanSanten and the seat is a Russell. Roger does a really nice job of setting up a bike for LD. He even sewed up his own fuel cell cover.

When I get back to work mananna, e.g. high speed connection, I'll update all the unknown riders. Once again, big thanks to bud John Whitmore (not on the board for some reason) for providing the fotos. :)

Edit: sp errurs fuxed.
