See the "YAMAHA" painted on the tank, That's the Euro version and that color was only released there, IIRC, 2002?

There are a couple of red FJRs in the states, both repaints. Rogdeb, here in the Sacramento, CA area, had his done approximating the R-1 red. It was mixed by whoever painted the bike (or ordered from his paint supplier).

Look how young those fellows are! :D Is that handsome young chap near the closest FJR your little brother? ;)

Seriously, if you are going to consider Red, any paint shop can match the color you choose. For instance, if you like R-1 red......

You've been answered about which Yamaha color that is. It is VERY close to the paint on my Honda, perhaps a little bit darker. I painted it Corvette Magentic Red Metallic. Its a 3 part paint (base, candy, clear) though.
Man....we need to see that in the SUN light!

Here's a photo of Rogdeb's repainted Classic '03:

What color? It's RED! :D Just kidding. Actually I think it's a blend of red and orange, and a bit of yellow mixed in. Definitely looks better with silver wheels, than black. Sharp.

Two other colors that I'd like to see on a FJR ; metallic orange (with a black frame) and candy apple red (with a silver frame). Anyone know how to do that with some sort of PC graphics magic?

SR-71

FJfencer I believe hit it on the nose. That is the same colour as my 1987 Concours, they called it "wine" also.

I like the colour would be a good choice.

Hmmmm, my Connie was the same color. Didn't Honda call that "Brandywine" on the early Goldwings and 750s?
I think my Katana was Wine or Brandywine. It was a nice color. Hard to get a matching helmet though. selection was limited. then again it coulda been my fat head.

MAYBE it was Wineberry?
