What do you do when you are done farkling?

I have run out of things to change on my bike and I am wondering what to do now? There are no good replacements to the FJR yet? What the hell do you long times do once you are done farkling your bikes?

I'd suggest unfarkling it a bit at a time. You need to ask yourself whether the farkles really, really, improved the bike. Was the original design really flawed? Put it back the way it was. If the farkle was right all along, put it back on.

I'm sorry to hear this! I have few farkles and even fewer complaints about my 08. I love this bike and although it seems there are endless "things" one can do to make it different, it doesn't really need it! I agree with others - JUST RIDE! :yahoo:

You buy another bike and begin farkling it. It takes a while to have a whole stable that is farkled to the point of perfection on each. Sport tourer, sport bike, dual sport, adventure bike . . .

Not sure if that is fair I know both sides and my Harley "not a long distance bike by no means" Is reliable for an antiquated heap of chrome. I know ill prolly get bashed for it but Harley Davidson Cycles have really great feature built into them being notoriously unreliable they have a parts store every 15 to 20 miles away and since they are basicly all the same, parts from one fit all of them or can be easily modified to fit with a roll of duct tape. Try that with an FJR! When the FJR eventually does break many many many miles later than the Harley. Parts are much harder to get and only fjr parts fit. 1 more point Harley's are so simple roadside repairs are a simple matter of just change the part that almost fell off! fjrs require a rocket scientist and a detailed shop manual!
