This was on Sunday down near South Street Seaport. What exactly are these? It was kind of funny seeing 10 or 12 of these riding in a group.

Then one of these Osprey's landed across the street, picked up a bunch of Marines and took off again....

VIDEO of what happened on Staten Island when the same chopper landed in a park.

Notice they aren't exactly pose "he-man style" on their bikes. Seemed kind of sheepish around the camera.

I think they'd like 145 HP in a Yamaha frame.

I was the official starter of the Big Apple Run for the Warriors, a 4 mile run to benefit Hope for the Warriors.

The two guys in pink shorts were 2 wounded warriors who ran the race. The Coast Guard guy with the flag kept running back up the coarse to escort guys in, time and time again. The pink shorts had nothing to do with "don't ask, don't tell" but were to bring awareness to another cause.

John Phelps, the father of fallen warrior Chance Phelps, was the other honorary starter. HBO had produced a movie entitled "TAKING CHANCE" a couple of years ago. I highly recommend that everyone view it in order to understand how the Marines handle their fallen....extremely accurate.

Very cool, Axe. I thought it might be something like that.

I was just reading the news about the Osprey blowing branches down a few minuted before I saw your post. The video you linked to really shows what happened.

When Mrs. BG and I went to Manhattan a coupla years ago, I seem to recall seeing cops riding around on those scooters. Made me laugh...

That's a very powerful, and very well-done, movie.
