What happens to Dyna Beads in 8700 miles

I've seen those black ball bearings before!

I've seen those black ball bearings before!

But, when changing tires, found these little 'ball bearings' inside, at first thought wheel bearing failure.

My head is hurting trying to figure out how wheel bearings could find their way to the inside of a tire!
