Whats an option on a previous bike that you miss on your FJR? For me it;s cruise control. My 2009 Victory Vision had factory cruise, I miss that option as much as I miss that bike. I sold the Vision when my oldest son was born.

Which leads me to today.... I should be installing the Rostra Cruise hopefully this weekend.

I am so freaking pumped to be adding cruise to my FJR, it's not even funny. And I enjoy working on stuff so I have that going for me as well.

Do a little reading here on the Forum before you start. You may want to work out a plan for some things like a VSS signal.

I miss HP & torque and a very good turn signal canceling circuit like my Honda had. Just about everything else is better. That's what happens when a rider moves up from trash bikes to a newer and fundamentally better bike.

I miss the option of having only one headlight bulb. Makes it ever more exciting when you blow one. I miss having to replace a taillight bulb or headlight bulb about every 4 weeks. I miss the option of having it break down in a new and exciting way, taking 2-4 weeks to get diagnosed and fixed at least once a year. I miss the anticipation and extra cost of getting most parts from Germany instead of stateside. I really do miss full integrated and servoed braking. I really do miss superior handling and zero dive. I missed front and rear factory crash protection, but I fixed that with sliders and T-rex bag guards. I missed a riding position that actually lent itself to sport touring, but I fixed that with a helibridge and MCL lowering brackets all around. I missed having a saddle, but I fixed that with a comfort seat. I never once missed or wished for cruise control, but now that I've had it, I'm sure I'd miss it going forward. I missed having an average of over 1K a year in unscheduled repair costs, but I made the choice to buy a new japonesera bike with a 5 year unlimited mileage warranty. I have no one to blame but myself.

My clutch lever.

No wait, I read that wrong. I don't miss it at all.

Already ahead of you... I plan on using the ABS signal to the ECM for the VSS.... Mounting the control pad, that I am still thinking about...

I miss how exceptionally quiet my ST1100 was.

There is a bit of a drone on the FJR when under 3500 rpm.

Otherwise, very happy with the FJR :)

I miss the sound of my SV1000S with Yoshimura cans.

I also miss the LCD speedometer that I was able to see.

I don't miss the uncomfortable (for me) riding position one bit though.

This is the major reason I bought my 2014 (another reason was because it is Candy Red). I would not have bought it without integrated cruise control. I installed an Audiovox on my previous bike (Kawasaki C10 converted to a C12) and it was golden.

Oh, and the FJR is head and shoulders better than any previous motorcycle I've owned (10+ of them over 54+ years).
