What is good for thermal neck protection

I personally love my Turtle Fur Shellaclava. Its kept my neck warm and dry during very cold and wet rides.

i'll second that. got one thrown in for free with my last 'stich purchased on ebay. it rocks.

I use a Schampa Neck Gaiter. Heavy enough for great protection, thin enough to fit easily.

I just have a polypropylene balaclava, that I pull down over a Old Navy zipneck fleece with a real fuzzy collar. :good:

I often think the best money I ever spent on any motorcycle related clothing was the $2 I spent on a fleece headband usually worn by skiers. Only instead of wearing it around my head I wear it around my neck under my jacket collar. It keeps out the wind and cold, reduces drafts up into my helmet, reduces wind noise and keeps my less cushy jackets from chafing my neck.

I like it so much I continue to wear it until it gets too warm to be comfortable and even then I miss it.
