No.  It's a tapped hole not used on the model you own.  It is used on other models.

Exactly.

I made an aluminum tear drop shaped bracket and used the hole for mounting a 'BMW' power outlet wired to a Fuzblock under the seat. Good for power or trickle charger.  Used once on the road to air up a friends tire.
