Any thing of value is worth only what you get for it at that particular time. B)

However, in regards to zillow, it can be useful at times but must be taken with a grain of salt.

I hope its way off they listed my value at 82 thousand. And I have a 7600 sq ft house.

Let me know when you put your house on the market, for $82000, I want to be the first in line. :D Nah, I couldn't afford the Taxes. This is really funny, I think your garage space alone is worth more than that.

I wonder what they've used for guideliine...

That site lists my house as worth $10,000 more than it was just appraised ..twice in 3 months... selling the house... I could've asked that, but the bank wouldnt' lend it...I know that as fact.

Interesting....

at least i'm going to put the money I get from the house to good use...buying a FJR! <BG>

That site is a scam for a national FJR theft ring to gather FJR locations... can't believe ya'll fell for it. :haha:

j/k

edit... cool... my 300th post is a smart *** remark. Oh wait... most of them are. B)

About 10% higher than it should be, my neighbor's houses appear to be closer to the correct values tho. The "Value Range" does start at what it was appraised at last summer tho.

But, the house placement is wrong on their map. I'm on a cul-de-sac extention that was built 10 years ago, yet most GPS/map systems either put all the houses at the beginning of the extension, or says they don't exist.

Pain in the *** when people try to find me and have to call from 500 yards away to ask where we are.

Historical Value Trends is nice, says my house has appreciated 57% since we bought it 5 years ago, but other houses in my zip have increased 67%. Not bad.

I was pleasantly surprised, and have made $84,000 equity in two years.... Pops gave me quite a deal on this shack.
Neat site! It shows that we've made $277,000 in the three years since we've moved. Had we stayed in our condo we would have only appreciated the value by $185,000.

On the other hand, to put things in proportion,

2003

5-bed, 2car garage 1800sq feet house in quiet neighborhood $450K

3-bed, carport, 1150 sq feet towhouse in noisy complex $280K

2006 (per the site)

House $727K

Condo $465K

.....and we still had a few $$$ left over to buy some more bikes <VBG>
