Up at 5000 ft elevation. I appreciate it. I have a wallies smoothness in there right now with the first two parameters bumped up one notch each. I still get quite a bit of deccel popping. has anyone disabled the par valve? If so could you post a link? Thanks alot. Ed

I guess I will talk with Dale since no one here must run a full HS and pc3. Thanx anyway.

I have Dale's headers and Standtunes with Dale's map. Stock air filter. I live at 5k' so far so good. I don't think you can get rid of the poping...something to do with the design...read it awhile back???

Thanx for the reply Carey. The sound quality of the bike with dales headers is awsome!! It sounds like a WRX. I was wondering if you unhooked the par system, or if it has any benefits.

Not sure about this "par" system of which you speak, but can only assume you're talking about the AIR system, the air injection. And yes, disconnecting it will get rid of the popping-I removed mine altogether. Jestal plugged the AIR ports in the head leading to the exhaust ports completely, I just capped the inlet ports off the reed valves, which has worked just fine over twenty thousand miles plus. There are no benefits over that of eliminating the pop, though removal does clean up the motor compartment. As far as maps, I blended the Wally and Holeshot maps, with the Wally in use below 5000 rpm, the Holeshot above to redline. This retains the mileage qualities the Wally offers, and gets the power on up where you need it.

Radman you wouldn't happen to have any pics for the removal? Will I need to fab up a plate or is it just a matter of plugging a few hard lines. Also will I get any error codes if I remove it? Thanx alot, ed

No codes, just cap off the airbox clean air source for the solenoid, and cap off the 4 reed valves on the valve cover. Remove the AIR system as completely unitized as you can, simplifies reinstall if ever needed. For caps I just used the caps for lawn chair bottoms, vinyl are the thinnest. Engine compartment heat doesn't seem to have fazed them. Use auto heater hose sized clamps to seal.
