What supports the right upper black plastic fairing piece (inner 4 panel/Panel "D") fastener closest to the tank?

This would be above the rear of the battery support frame/bracket.

I believe the screw nearest the tank in the painted right upper fairing piece (BODY, FRONT UPPER 2) next to this is supported by the black piece I previously mentioned, is that correct?

Thanks

That is correct and it also interlocks with the panel beside it.

If you go to the FAQ section I beleive there is a mention of how the panels come off.

If you don't find it there go to FJR Tech, there is a pictoral of front panel removals that shows how they come out and it's not really hard to remove and replace them after you do it one time.

Panel D interlocks with C and should also have the tab with springnut to receive the fairing bolt at the junction of C and D. That tab is broken on mine, but I use the broken piece as the nut for the bolt, and everything holds together still like that.

What I am asking is what supports the Panel D screw that is nearest the tank? It screws into a spring nut, but what is holding the spring nut?

It looks like the support is fastened right into the frame.

What is this support? Is it a separate piece, a little bracket?

I don't think it is part of the battery bracket.

Thanks

Oh, that one!!! I believe that one is part of the front subframe, that holds the gauge cluster and headlights. I really can't recall if it's on the main frame or the front subframe.

Actually is is a bracket that is attached to the frame. Why is your broken or missing? I think what you are talking about is 5JW-2836E-00-00 it is on Cowling 2 view on the Yamaha web site number 47. Hope this helps.

That be it. Of coarse it helps, wealth of information.

Yes, top fairing piece broke from not being supported. Previous owner laid it down and repaired plastic I'm told. Must have omitted the bracket.

Thanks guys
