Wow ! Garauld's price is the deal of the century.

Just check the prices on the Color-rite site. Remember you need Base, color, and clear coat to do the job. Spray cans are good enough if you have a steady hand and you're OK with the 5 foot rule.

The cheapest I found locally is an automotive paint supplier who will sell me all 3 coats in 1/2 pint containers for $125. Of course then you have to buy a sprayer too.

I'll be taking some pictures of the bedliner coated bags tonight for Mike, and I'll post them tomorrow. I'll include all the info from the product as well. ScottB

Go with Garauld, no doubt. On the way to NAFO my right sidecase came unlatched. When Petey and I stopped for gas he noticed the lid hanging down as I was pulling in. I lost the contents unfortunately I hadn't bothered with the cinching the bag in with the tie down vords. When I closed the sidecase I notices a silver dollar sized abrasion on the front/top edge.

I sent in to Garauld and he fixed it good as new. It looks perfect and the cost was more than reasonable, I'm extremely happy with his work.

Glenn.

At the Watkins Glen Beemer rally last weekend, got up Sat. AM and found a beemer on its side with its windshield (broken) under my left sadle bag. A deep scratch and some abrasion that looks like it will polish out on my bag. Lucky the beemer wasn't closer or my FJR would have gone over and then a domino effect for 6 or 7 bikes. Assumed due to the broken wine glasses that some drunk fell into it or more likely hit it when pulling out on his bike. I think I remember a red side car parked on the left side of the beemer. The owner of the downed beemer was pissed even more than me. I'll go to Canadian Tire for a close touch up paint I guess.

Folks I'm not against partying it up, but if you do, don't **** with yours or anyone else bike.

My son ran into my left saddlebag with his bike and put a nice scracth and gouge in it. I tried repairing it with the colorite touch up pen and it looks like ****. It's an o7ae which a blueish silver metal flake. I'm I better off having a body shop repair it or order an aresol can and try to do it myself?
I'd just leave it. Actually i did .. i backed into a light post the second week I had my feejer. To make it worse, the previous owner put 20k on it without *any* visible wear and tear.

Since I didn't pick it based on looks, but rather function, a scratch in the sidecase doesn't upset me much (I'm also one of those people who don't what others think of me or the junk I have).

better yet.. Gary how bout' my helmet to match my 05 with some cool FJR logo stuff on it ?? hint, hint wink wink
I seem to recall that painting helmets may weaken the shell ...
