The only problem I had with Alex was when he sent me an order TWICE by mistake

I angrily e-mailed him  , and he replied "just keep the 2nd order" -- THAT'S a cool guy :)

I didn't keep the order, mailed it back the next day.

Alex, the guy is a cretin -- write him off.

France you say.... Hmmm.... If only we could get him to run from the cops on a motorcycle.... :D

.... then he'd be better off mounting his reflective stripes on the front of his bike.
What do you mean front, he has enough now to stick on his front, rear and the sides of his bike. :yahoo: :clapping:

They need reflective stickers on the front of motorcycles in France so they don't get run over by a retreating tank ...

Alex,

Do you have a paypal account? I would gladly, as I'm sure other members of the forum would, send you a couple bucks to help offset the $ you are out from this ******. You and I have personally never done business together, but, I hate seeing bad things happen to good people.

No, no. I wouldn't let you guys do that. I'm not asking for any type of reimbursemt.

I've alwasys tried to give customers the benefit of the doubt and it has worked out every time before. I didn't know what to make of his remarks so that is why I started this thread.

Here is an update on our communication. I emailed him the following message:

xxxxxxx, I've sent a Paypal refund in full with the following message:

Sorry this did not work out xxxxxxx. Here is a refund in full. I didn't feel comfortable with the threats in your email do not want to converse with you further. I have $xxx of material that I'm not sure where it has gone to and don't deserver to be threatened when I'm doing everything I can.

If USPS could track shipments I would of used that option on the first resend.

Well at least it is blue this time. It is good to know he understands the email and understands my position. <_<

Alex,

Based on French history, a simple threat on a post-it note will have "Daniele" and all of his ilk hopping down the road with their hands in the air. But, you went and took the high road... (opportuniy lost).

Chances are he cut little Fleur-de-lies out of the first two so he and his pillion "Rene'" can wear them on their half-helmets, with a few on the wire baguette-basket between the handle bars...

When I installed the reflectors from Alex my fuel economy increased 13%. Top speed is up 4mph, the bike is 4lbs lighter, corners like a 1098 on qualifying tires and I can't keep the hot chicks from groping me.
Cool product.
Well then, that explains why the guy is so mad. Look at what he is missing out on!

Alex,

Just saw on a ebay hobby site that he only sends to Europe by UPS as they have had problems with sending by USPS. Extra cost to the buyer, but at least it's traceable.

Good luck!

Sorry you had such a bad time with that guy...

Just for your own protection, next time for an overseas customer, send it UPS or FedEx..

When I sold a helmet and shipped it to Canada, the Post Office cannot put any kind of trace on it. He got it fine, but next time, I won't use the PO even tho it's cheaper.

Then if the guy is a scammer, you at least know it was delivered...

ok, most of the time... I got something today, the mailman rang the bell, put the package in front of the apt door and left.

My Jeep was parked right outside the door, tho, like 4 feet away.

Hope you only get one miserable customer once every millenia! <G.

I botched up the application of my left decal, e-mailed Alex, he got me the left side only for half the price of a set and mailed it out immediately.
Great service. Thanks Alex.

Charlie

Alex, this guy isn't French, he's Russian. The sentence structure and misuse of articles indicate East European grammar structure, even if he is operating out of France. If you do a search on his email or mailing address I bet you'll find out he's a consistent scammer.
