Touring? The Venture

Sport Touring? Fj1100 - 1200

And one of the most under rated bikes of all time.... The GTS

Hey Gun, that bike is cool!! Is or was it yours? I think wifey would be a little more comfy on that than on the FJR. Two up on it is ok, but its so much more fun solo. That Venture looks like an all day bike for the passeneger. Thanks for the pics.

Don't you all be snickering at the XS1100. I have one, dressed out like the picture, too. Worked pretty well for me. AND the question was " What Touring Bike...?"

I s'pose the answer would be the Venture.

Mine was a Seca 750 with the same Aero fairing that Gun doc shows on his XS. My tail bag was the zipper pocket on the aftermarket backrest... big enough for a clean pair of boxers! :eh:

That's bordering on too much information.

It's a moot point now, anyway. Cuz now I have alot of storage and I've stopped wearing clean boxers!

Think Yamaha's original sport tourer was a '82 750 Seca II- touring. Had one- detachable hardbags, trunk, nice fairing, all color keyed, silver grey color. Really nice bike, but dealers had a hard time giving them away back in the day..

T'sipper

The beautiful GTS

That machine looks close to a touring bike as any other, I think this one is the closest thing to a sport touring bike before the FJR. Thanks.

The FJ club was the one's who started the petition to Yamaha to bring the FJR to the USA. Over a million signatures!!!
