I was looking through some past threads and ran across some posts by ARI and it just occurred to me that he hasn't been around these parts in close to a year. Anybody know whats up with that?

Ari probably crashed a go-kart while practicing for NAFO...or he bored himself to death with one of his speeches....

Sorry couldn't resist.

Also what happened to the "Toecutter" he was always around?
After years of trusty ol' toe:

He went totally feral --

and, by the light of a full moon he went out and got on his Silver Bullet -- and has never been seen again.

A great question Chris. It appears that he has not even visited the forum since last May.

As much as Richard likes to bust on his speeches as being boring, the one I heard at EOM 09 was pretty good. He definitely had some things to say about how to live your life to the fullest.

I wonder if he just found something even more meaningful and fulfilling than FJRs and hanging around with FJR owners to fill up his life?

Nah. That's impossible!! :p

As far as Toe goes he was at DVD in January....he spends his time on the other forum lately.

On a couple of occasions Helen and I talked with Ari and he sure sounded like a guy ready to move on, both life and motorcycle. He had mentioned time spent on the Forum and perhaps life beyond a FJR. I was surprised to see him continue on in the Forum all the way until May 2009. Life moves on, we don't always get a front row seat to the personal events that take place.

Very, very true my friend.....

Like Fred, I found his speech at EOM to be quite good and I always enjoyed his posts. No news is good news I suppose.

After his speech at NAFO he was run out of town. :p
What I wanna know is, What ever happened to Fairlaner? He used to be a Royal Prick, and now he's just a prick.... :D
The queen demanded her crown be returned.......

I remember the pictures that were posted....

Does nobody miss Scab? I know what happened to him, but ain't tellin' you.

Personally I've heard enough speeches in life, and according to my kids given way too many.

Fairlaner's definitely a prick, but he's our kind of prick. The world would be out of balance without him.

Toecutter's just an all around nice guy who avoids opening his mouth (or keyboard) unnecessarily. That makes it difficult for him to fit in around here. As you can see, I don't suffer the same afliction.

:)

Here's hoping all those we no longer hear from, have moved on to things they enjoy at least as much as my ongoing love for the FJR.

I do miss Scab. And Toecutter.

Some friends we've lost forever in a permanent kind of way. Some just seem to slowly disappear. Sad.

How about Radman? Where has he gone?

Radman lost his zest for arguing mechanical service questions. He's rumored to be one of the BEST mechanics you'll ever encounter, but he became frustrated with all the "Internet Engineers" giving him a rash when he tried to offer honest advice based on years of real-life experience.

Expertise like his, is too often lost because there's no way to validate his credentials any more than someone else with loads of BS and a fast keyboard.

Speaking of people we miss, what about SlapNpop? He started this whole thing but rarely posts any more. Last conversation I had with him was many months ago.

There are several members not showing their mugs around here lately. Hopefully some of the left coasters will be showing up at some of our rides this year as riding time nears........PM. <><

I've certainly wondered about scab, radman, jestal and Toecutter. Very little that any of them wrote that I wouldn't read.
