This may be a question without an answer but I'm interested to hear some opinions.
I just turned 130,000 Km's / 80,000 Miles on my 2003 FJR. I think I'll keep it until I hit 200,000 Km's, maybe more - 2 more years. I have had absolutely no problems so far. (I sold my 2000 Concours with 175,000 Km's and a friend had 525,000 Km's on his Concours.) My thinking is that there are very few parts that really wear out and it would be cheaper to replace even those more expensive parts as a preventative measure to maintain reliability than to buy a new or lightly used bike. A few years ago, a friend sold his Concours just before it hit 100,000 mile because his thinking was that after that point, it would take a huge hit in term of selling price. My feeling is that the first owner always takes the biggest hit per each mile ridden in terms of selling price.
I have yet to find a bike a perfect for my needs as the FJR.
