Seems that Manic Salamnder's approach is to directly mount (metal to metal) their inertial mass. Might be worth considering.

Had them on my '08. Satisfied.

I've not heard any complaints about the '16 models vibration, did Yamaha fix it for good?

Engine vibration is (roughly) the same for all years. It isn't all that bad, just a minor nuisance.

I thought the '16's had better balancing and didn't vibrate as much. Everyone's first impression is how smooth it is... at least that's what I've gathered.

Never heard that. See no reason it would be different. They are all smooth, compared to many other bikes
