I need to replace the left upper side fairing and have been following the scanned TSB kaitsdad has been circulating, but I can't figure out where the storage box wire bundle it mentions is. It shows a flexible nylon wire holder you're supposed to undo in Step 7 but I can see no such thing. Does anyone know what exactly has to be disconnected, storage-box-wise, on a 2008?

Potential its not any different than the 07. The problem is its really tight the first time. Took me a while to get mine off as well. Take the top black plate off the left side. Reach down between the tank and the box. Push on the center of the top half of the conctor. Its just like prom night, very tight and needs a lot of coercing to get to to open up. Once you get it apart once its easy from that point on. If you need help I am also in San Diego,Santee to be exact, and can give you a hand if you need it. Drop me a PM.

Thanks but I eventually figured it out; there was the light gray plastic wire holder, it just took me forever to find. It turned out to be behind (outer side of) the glove compartment, underneath.
