What's wrong with this picture?

Notice anything WRONG with the caption above?

And we thought FJR's suffered identity crisis when they were mistaken for Beemers...

Reminds me of a story my dad told. While he was in Italy rooting out the Nazis just before the invasion at Normandy, occasionally Germans would try to impersonate American soldiers. A simple question was all that was necessary-- "So, who do you think is going to win the pennant this year, the Chicago Yankees or the New York Cubs?" Every soldier knew that there was something really wrong with that question. The impersonator didn't have a chance.

So what should be said to the young AOL employee that seems to think the car in the picture is a Pontiac?

Pontiac or PLYMOUTH I always thought they were ugly. Worked on the race track and originals go for amazing money at auction. Who ever did the exhaust was a fool.

It was outfitted with a lot of sniffer gear for exhaust emissions. There was an article in Car Craft I think all about it. Interesting car. It was called the muscle car that brought down the muscle cars.

I've got a Navy buddy who has an SuperBird in the garage. Off White/Cream with big Plymoth logos down the tail, Road Runner on the spoilers (Meep Meep Horn). The SB body is longer than a Suburban.

I watch it's twin sister go across the auction block at Barrett Jackson Scottsdale for 150Kish...
