Wheaton's 1st inagural camping trip home safe thread

Janet, my brother and I made it home around 1830. Hey Don, the closed we came to water on the way ome was spray coming out the door of a Sheetz car wash! Actually wery nice all the way back. Long and tiring, but well worth it. Parted with Jaqy and George along the way.

Got home just ahead of the rain with a pork roast waiting for me on the grill. :exhappysmiley:

A far too short trip for me, but great folks can make you feel like family quick. Hope you all had a safe ride home and can't wait for....the 2nd Annual??

Made it back today at 6pm on the nose without further incident Good to meet everyone on my short stay!

4282km round trip. Made it home today at 7 PM. Left Weston WV at 8am. Heavy rain all the way to Erie PA. Cloudy all the way home and then the sun came out.

Made it home 10:00 last night.

Brian and I went over and road the Dragon, in the rain, before we left, so we didn't leave the dragon until 4:00 on Sunday.

Had a great time and made new friends. Looking foward to another campin next year.

It was nice meeting everybody...I got home this morning about 1:30 am...with the bike in a U-haul. It stopped on US-64 at 4pm with a fault code 11...right about the time you guys left the Dragon.

Hey Wheatie, glad you are home safe. I posted my 'home safe' message in the other thread. Sorry to hear about the problems with your bike. Please let us know what caused it once you figure it out. I hope it didn't have anything to do with my fat fingers playing with your headlight, but you never know.

I hope it didn't have anything to do with my fat fingers playing with your headlight, but you never know.

I'll be sure to post up what the issue is once it's isolated. I can't imagine it had anything to do with this headlight boot.

It was good to see you again Greg...thanks for the inspiration for this camping meet idea.

Got home Sunday 7PM. Went through a nice soaker in lower va, but dried out by the time I got home.

Nice to finally meet some of the group. Definitely worth the trip, though short compared to most of the group. Had a great time down there. Hopefully we'll see you all at NAFO.
