Are the Gen 2 and Gen 3 wheels interchangeable?

Certainly not 2006/7, the speed sensors changed in 2008. I believe 2008 onwards are all functionally identical, but coloured differently.

There is something different on the 2014, may apply to the other Gen3's.

A collar on the wheel, RHS when you remove the wheel, it seats into the seal.

But it may be because the transducer housing is different ?

One of those "bits" that will fall out & loose if you take your wheels off to a dealer to swap out tyres.
