Yep, I try and put it right outside my door. Of course when traveling with wifey, she don't go for those types of inns. So I make sure i put on the disk lock, and put the cover on. If it's a really suspect area, I take the bags and trunk off and bring inside, that way it just looks a bit skinny under the cover, and no one would be inclined to look further.

I look for Mom and Pop motels that have poles holding up the overhang in front of the rooms. I lock the front wheel to the one closest to my room and forget about it for the night.

Same as most. Park outside the room's door or window. Use a heavy cable through the wheel/frame and use a cover. A thief doesn't usually want to take the time to undo everything just to get to the bike. Ground floor is best but a second story window gives a better angle of shot when he's trying to get away after he realized he's been had when the alarm goes off.

I also like to see the bike when parked at a resturant and then its better if your with a group. The thief also doesn't like multiple riders/bikers coming at him with the intent to do bodilly damage. PM. <><
