And who were the 3 blue '05 FJR's heading north on Hwy101 in Paso Robles at 10.00am on Saturday?

Wow!! Flashback !!

Mission Santa Barabara - I used to visit the mission all the time when I was a kid -

grew up in Santa Barbara.

IIRC, there is a large fountain under that pepper tree? Is it still there?

You are correct. We are currently visiting all of the CA Missions on our FJR. A first for me, but not my SO.

Pretty nice inside too. This is Mission San Luis Obispo.

I was thinking of you TWN. We had not planned to be there and it was decided last minute on the fly. Over the next month, we will be visiting SoCal on Mission trips, even San Diego. I will let you for sure the next time were in the area. :cell:

Cool!

Have you been to Santa Ines (Ynez) or San Buenaventura or La Purisima, yet?

Hmmmm...

Ya know, a single trip visiting all of the missions would be really cool ...........

I wonder how far that would be ?

Methinks it's S&T time. More to follow .......

:construction:

OK - this was quick and dirty -

Did you know that there's 21 Missions? I was rushed - (gotta get some work done here at the office) so I wasn't able to find the exact street address for a couple of them - however, I used city's - so -

760.5 Miles

I'll take your word for the total route distance, at the office right now. For now we are riding to them all when time permits us, but have a plan to hit them all in 1 day just for fun/attempt to remove winter candy azz in preparation for some LD spring/summer rides.

...grew up in Santa Barbara.
Hijack alert

I was born in Santa Barbara (at St. Francis Hosp.)

My Dad taught at Westmont College around the time I was born.

Moved to Wheaton when I was two. First vague memories I have is being hot during that trip (It was June, 1961).

I am told that the Interstates weren't done. The parents' Packard broke down, so we used a Renault. It was too small, so somebody fixed a box and stuck it under the back window behind the back seat - that was my perch. No wonder I was HOT  .

Cottage Hospital bought it. Shut it down. Now, they are turning it into condos. Prolly sell for a minimum of 1 million each except for the few 'low income' units required by law...

California Mission trip... sounds like a boni they need to have on the next Iron Butt Rally....

We did hit Santa Ines & La Purisima.

We are coming to Santa Barbara in early May to see Kelly Joe Phelps, one of the best acoustic blues guitar players in...well...ever.

Wants to makes us a party?
