Good one. I'll pick BMW's. With Harley's it's an apples and oranges thing. They are just simply a different type of riding. BMW's compete with Yamaha in the same market with the FJR and it's always better to think that you made a better choice than those that go with the competition.

Bottom line though...if a rider is happy on his ride, then he got the right one. It's just that we REALLY got the right one

The real question is, "Which makes you feel better: Worrying about what other people think on a web forum or putting a bullet in your head to end the anxiety?"

I'll pick Harleys, since my girlfriend used to own one which I was charged with riding & repairing, and it was a POS.

I guess the admins must not be around much today...

mercy -- does this stuff never end?

Bashing in and of itself does nothing for me. What makes me feel better is having purchased the perfect bike for me. I love it... and I recognize that other folks just might love the bikes they've purchased which may or may not be anything remotely akin to mine.

heck, I hope they're tickled pink with their bikes.

and I certainly I hope they don't spend any time on their forums with this kind of exchange.

h#ll, riding makes me feel better.

Bashing makes me bored.

What kind of guitar is in your Avatar? Have you seen this luthier? She rocks. Her guitars are better than BMWs and Harleys.

Hi Orangevale;

>>What kind of guitar is in your Avatar?<<

Its a Taylor T5. I'd owned a Taylor acoustic for about 10 years and when they announced the T5 I jumped at it. Its their attempt at a production acoustic/electric guitar hybrid. While it's not much of an acoustic (one of the 5 pickup selections is supposed to be a more acoustic guitar sound, but its not gonna fool anyone), it is a terrific electric guitar. Been very happy with it.

Also playing a handmade acoustic from a little company in Staunton, VA called Huss & Dalton.

>>Have you seen this luthier? She rocks. Her guitars are better than BMWs and Harleys.<<

Beautiful work. I've seen her guitars via the Web, never in person, and never had the opportunity to play one. I'd completely agree with your statement about the instruments being better than BMWs or Harleys.

Do you have one of her guitars?

Thanks for derailing the topic!

best regards

Patrick

Oh, and Iggy, thanks for moving the BMW thread out of FJR Specific.

PS: Great job on editing the title on this thread. Sure wouldn't want anyone to accuse you of favoritism or anything of that ilk.

As a long time member and moderator of bmwlt.net, I have to pick BMW. I love yanking their chains over on the new GT sub-forum.

If we bash both, are we picking on Barleys? or B(ob) Marleys?
