Harley riders have a very high ego to match the high cost of their Two Wheels so they become a justifiable Bash Harley. BMW riders know they have a superior quality Europe machine that is hard to beat until they ride beside the Feejer.................... :D

Who wrote that, toe? I know it wasn't you.....you ain't that "cool". Was it Kate Bush?
Maynard James Keenan, of the band who's name rhymes with "cool" (which, coincidentally, we caught in concert Sunday night). :punk:

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww....................tool. Yeah. I can see that. But, ain't he talking about a dude? Ain't he gay? Let's do some bashing here.

K my buddy's gs 1200 ran a main bearing in Marathon TX - he had to go back to Houston in a frigging caravan or if some other POS. My other buddies HD RK would not start in Ft Lauderdale and he trucked the bike back to TX and sat his *** on a flight home.

You choose.

By an effing FJR !!!!
Cool. Because there's never been an FJR with problems (tick, tick, tick, roast, roast, roast, head shake, head shake, head shake) and neither of my BMWs have let me down in the past dozen years and 150k miles. Butt, go ahead, let the exceptions make your rules if it makes you feel better.
none of the small % of tickers has left anyone stranded, heat is a user-specific issue that, again doesn't leave anyone stranded, headshake is an issue of proper maintenance that, again, hasn't left anyone stranded.

so wtf are you doing on an fjr forum besides baiting?

clearly, if you've taking 12 years to do 150,000 miles, you shold be out riding more. no wonder none of your beemers has had a final drive failure yet.

I prefer passing Harleys. Normally a lot quieter in front of them than behind. ----- Oh ... wait, this is about BASHING, not PASSING.... nevermind.............

Well, I came here to learn more about my `05 FJR and share with other FJR riders.

Well, there's also the 15k on the FJR and I don't know how many on the SV w/o odometer. I'm quite happy with the miles I've ridden. Seems like exactly enough to me. When it becomes important for me to live someone else's life, I'll contact you for advice.

Beautiful work. I've seen her guitars via the Web, never in person, and never had the opportunity to play one. I'd completely agree with your statement about the instruments being better than BMWs or Harleys.
Do you have one of her guitars?

Thanks for derailing the topic!

best regards

Patrick
Nah, I have a Taylor 314CE with sitka top and mahogony sides...best tone that I ever played. The Manzer are too much $ for me to splurge on at my playing level. The simple ones are around $7k. I like Bruce Cockburn and he is a phenominal guitarist that just keeps getting better. He has 5 manzer instruments now and they all sound great.

Isn't there a bra called the Manzer? Been thinkin' 'bout one lately, can't remember why though.........

You'll have to get in line behind yourself. Look at the message that started this bait thread. Hmmm... interesting name and interesting content (bashing about bashing). Are you afraid of being sucked into the black hole that is your circular logic?

Great reference point... Cockburn is one of those rare folks in music that can be called an honest-to-goodness real-life poet. Not just some schmoe that slaps together rhymes. Yeh, he is an amazing guitarist, but its that combination of lyric poetry, insightful commentary, and amazing guitar that has always intrigued me. I didn't realize what he was playing, those are some beautiful instruments.

ahh well, add one more to the list of guitars I'll never own. And they can go right alongside an Olson, Kevin Ryan, Klein, and a boatload of others. On one hand its a wonderul time for these small handmade shops, on the other... man, its just another thing to add to the lust list! ;)

IMHO its hard to beat the Taylor neck setup. there is something very right about the way they fall into the hands. very, very consistent up and down the whole model line. thats an important characteristic of their build. so, that 314CE is a great piece... I really like the sound of mahogany.

thanks for the foray into six string madness.

take care and best regards!

Patrick

Reduced to repeating me when you got nailed for baiting, eh? Just remember. We're not laughing with you. We're laughing at you.

I am not a big basher...BMW or Harley-Davidson™.

BTW, my definition of bashing is saying things like, "Harley-Davidson™ sucks!", "What a piece of ****!", etc., etc.

No I prefer to simply point to facts, research and news stories and let the reader make their own inferences... :D

Not baiting, Bounce. Just wanted to ask the question after readign yet another thread bashing BMWs. Of all the lists I've been on, this one seems to spend the most time bashign other bikes, particularly BMW and HD. I don't understand why so I thought I'd ask.

Not sure what got your shorts in a wad, butt life goes on.

OBTW, what does my name have to do with anything? I totally missed that little remark.
