Hi gang,

Long time no speak etc.....(been busy)

I got to thinking of some additional bling to the FJR....and remembered that I had saved the following images from a thread some time ago. Images have a date stamp of 2007.

Question is....who's wheels are they? Were they powder coated or painted/clear sealed? Any information would be great.

This isn't going to help much, those wheels belong to 'Carla from SoCal' Link. TWN posted the pictures... Carla didn't have a computer so she was not a Forum member.

Thanks Alan,

I remembered that it was a female....but damned if I could find the post here. Well done on such a quick response. Looks like there is a lot of work there....might just give it a go.

TWN memorial ride .... I got some pics too... best rims ever. she rode upfront with Fairlaner and myself, never did ask for her name...........

That's an incredible picture, the more I look the more farkles I find:

a) Aforementioned rims

B) Amber LEDs

c) Braided brake lines

d) Fender extender

e) Radiator cover

f) Carbon fiber shock covers

g) The fender is blue but the lower cowling plastic is silver, so something is up there.

h) Not sure of the year, looks like the calipers may have been painted/powder coated.

Would love to see a pic of the entire bike.

Here is the bike........

Snippy bits from various posts:

TWN say:

<snip> She does all her own work and had the paint on the shelf. You should see her custom V-Rod that she's been working on... Holy Schnikies! It's to friggin' die for.

<snip> These are the stock '05 rims that have been polished (subbed out to the tune of $300) and custom painted Galaxy Blue by Carla, herownsef. She has no idea how many hours she has into hand sanding the spokes, center rim and hubs smooth enough for painting. My guess: A-friggin-lot! Even the wheel weights are polished to a mirror finish! Oh, yeah, those are custom painted calipers, too.

<snip> They are just carbon look tube covers. She picked them up at the local shop, so I'd imagine they're commonly available.

<snip> Carla also painted that bike herself. It's a flawless job, too. (She scrubbed some paint off going through some bramble which is why she painted the stripes on...) All of the black panels have been painted silver (she hates black!).

jdoggie picture, Carla in the lead and TWN trying to catch-up:
