No one has mentioned it here, but some AE owners and initial road tests had talked about low-speed parking lot issues compounded by stiff throttle spring and abrupt fuel injection. I own the A so I'll trust AE owners to comment if that is much of an issue.

I have an 06 AE and havnt experianced any issues at all. I love the auto clutch and got used to and spoiled by it withing the first 10 miles of riding. I ride with 4 friends who all own R1's and they love riding my AE as well.

There was a bit of abruptness before the g-2 and pc3 and of course backing off the spring. I did not consider it too bad. I added the other parts because I wanted super smooth. The auto clutch does take a little getting used to. (the first two weeks you will instinctively reach for the nonexistant clutch lever.) Some people can be caught unaware when the clutch disengages just prior to stopping (or when using exteremly slow maneuvers) I have never had a issue with this. I have 3250 miles on my 06 I bought in May. I love it and would definately buy another one if something were to happen to this one.

125 miles on my 2007 AE. Perfect really. After 30 years of clutches, I am sold. There are no parking lot / traffic issues on mine. I think from what I hear that the G@ throttle mod makes sense to really smooth things out, but even without that, this thing rocks. Take the plunge!

Well, I Done Did IT!

Friday, I rode my last miles on my 05 Honda VTX 1300c on the way down to my local HARLEY DEALER, and traded it in on a

Blue 05 FJR 1300.

(Yes, you did read that correctly, and there were no type-o's, I traded my Honda in at the Harley Dealer for a Yamaha)

A Harley Dealer here in the Atlanta area had an 05 FJR with 1500 miles on it. Looked excellent and the only mods were a taller wind screen and heli-risers.

Have had a great 500 mile first weekend, and I can't wait to get on it again.

I had a chance to ride a new Concourse a few times and it was nice... But, honestly, I thought it felt a bit top-heavy. It seems that the FJR was a little more friendly in the curves. The 6th gear was nice though.

At the end of the day it was mostly a financially lead decision so thanks to all you guys for a lot of good info during my decision making.

Might not post for awhile... I'm gone riding ! :yahoo: :yahoo:

Congratulations and still a good choice. I run MobilOne synthetic and the shifts are butter smooth in my '04 manual shifter, even without using the clutch.
