Nice report Don. An I agree with weaties "it's the rider not the ride" as far as bikes go.

Oh, an' Thanks for the "family pictures" I sure miss 'em..

:jester:

Thanks for the report.

That's not a motorcycle, it's a rolling massaging lounge chair. Looks like ya had fun.

Dave

Really nice writeup. Thanks for sharing. I have to agree with OM, you do seem to have hit your stride on them recently.

You've got to be the only Harley rider around rockin' ATGATT and a dual sport helmet... ;)

Good on ya. Maybe it'll catch on...

Given the title of this thread in an FJR forum, there's a South Park reference somewhere nearby.
Yeah, well if you actually watched that South Park clip, then you know that the "***" definition wouldn't apply to Mr Carver.

FAIL. :D

Yeah, I agree. :clapping:

Yeah, I gotta respect you for going against the grain.

Lets hope Carver starts the trend...maybe we can get him published in a HD rider Mag.

And one of my best bud, he never fails me, no matter what mount I ride, this is my best friend, do you get it?
I do indeed.

Thanks for takin' us all along!

Very nice ride report Carver!
I've never ridden a cruiser, but it IS the rider, not the RIDE. If I'm ever out that way, I'd love to lope along those roads with an HD...just to see what all the fuss is about.
Wheatie, get an airplane ticket, fly out to Kali, we can ride my skoots all the time you are here. Harley, Wabs, yz426, ATK dual sport (due 12/25/09) and of course KrZy8. No excuses Wheatie, no whining, no cryin'... just sayin'... :****:

I'm no fan of the 100's of thousands of HD owners who bought into the marketing. That being said, HD's have their place. Correction, VTwins all have their place. I've said it before and I'll say it again, nothing beats a big VTwin sitting in its torque peak while it goes down the highway. I've done 12+ hour rides on my 1600 Mean Streak. Every bit as comfortable as the FJR. Now, storage, weather protection etc.. different animal!
I get it!

I love the enduro helmet on the Harley. Keep em guessin!
LOL, exactly Mr. Johnny! When I first bought the Ultra in 91, I rode with a full-on MX helmet, MX goggles, MX pants and boots, and MX jersey. Then I would head to 'biker bars' just to get a freakin' reaction. Of course I always carried and was prepared. One bar I should *not* have stopped at was outside Tucson, Az. Them dudes were way not happy with my sacriledge and they all had guns too. Time to tuck the tail n' go, if you get my drift.. Good times, though, glad I did it, happier to have survived it.. Kind of touch and go for a bit there.

Nice write up Don. Thanks for sharing.
I think this Dekker bag would look awesome with a CBA patch... Linky
I like this bag! And Thanks for kickstarting me.. I need to formalize the CBA and make it legit. I have some funds now, so I can. and will.

Thanks Fred, appreciated. I've decided to let my hair down, even with a #2 buzz cut, on the forum to see how many can really hang with me. So far, so good!

Well, I'm having all sorts of problems with

'replying to many quotes'

So I'm giving up on the fun, got to search for new cheap tires

I do Thank Everyone for appreciating a different ride and perspective.. sometimes there is alot of (appropriate/not so appropriate) HD bashing on this forum... So thought I'd present the other side in a humorous manner and hope folks get it. And if not? That's ok too, your issue not mine.

I'm happy to see so many appreciate the 'Just Ride' concept, that's pretty cool.

I just like to ride.

Just Sayin'...

Oh, Wheatie, bub, I'm calling you out doode...

Hey, you are providing a very generous offer there Don...don't think I don't know it. :clapping:

Considering you have seen me ride. Or have you? ;)

Actually, if you are serious about this, I will send you a PM.
