I think I ask legitimate questions, and all I get from you is Smart-A$$ Answers!!!
That's ScooterG's function. It's what he does and does best. He can give you a smart-assed answer to any legitimate question you ask. He can even give smart-assed answers to illegitmate questions.

:D In my case I was an Impulse Buyer... I was looking for a new bike and had read some on the FJR and when I was at my local Drooling establishment I found and sat on my newest Mistress... If I had to wait for it my better half (did youy hear that dear) would have beaten me about it until it showed.... Maybe another reason some passed up.....

Talent, is what you call that ability!

Really, lighten up a bit, gents. Part of the 'fun' of this site is the ability to yank each other's chains to a certain extent - a rare thing available to us out in the 'real' world. Although, I have reminded the skootinator to use a liberal dose of smilies when he's funnin'. Too, keep in mind that he's a single man and seldom, if ever, gets laid and is thus severely affected by the dreaded Orbis Impedius Maximus syndrome, hence, the reason for some of his snippy posts. ;)

I agree to the earlier posts that most are taking posession of their bikes, and that there are a myriad number of reasons why some are not. It's probably not the bike so much as the wait. As Americans, most of us have a really hard time waiting that long for something.

As for my reason... My wife and I ordered an 06 A model (our second FJR after an 05) in early November and patiently waited for the FJR to come in, hopefully in time for Bikeweek, as the dealer thought it would. In the mean time, my wife decided that she would rather own and ride her own bike, which made it mandatory that the FJR go to someone else. (I wish I had deep pockets, but something had to give.)

Had the FJR come in March when it was first suggested by Mama Yama, the bike would probably be in the garage, and we'd probably be planning some trips. Six months is too long to wait, and it's something I'll likely not do again.

But then again...

I wonder...

Has anyone heard about a second round PDP???...

no hard data given... <_<

"do not feed the trolls" B)

(even if you're not trolling the discussion can only lead in circles with speculations)

I think the biggest reason someone might or has returneda bike with few miles is that it was not what they had anticipated it would be!

My dealer, ordered the one that I bought last year off his showroom.

He said if I do not like it for any reason to return it and I could get something else.

I had always riding v twins so this was a change. Bike felt heavy for not riding for over 10 years.

Feet did not touch the ground with bent knees like any v twin I had had. :(

First attempt at placing her on the c stand almost ended in desaster. :dribble:

Bike felt hot, hot enough to burn my thighs, hands were numb! right wrist hurt.

It took finding this board shortly after purchasing mine to be educated on the changes I could make to get it to fit.

So a year later, my only concern is the clutch, feels like I need to apply a lot of pusher to hold it in at stop lights. Other than that risers, high way pegs, different windshield. B)

haven't changed the grips yet but will this summer.

I love this bike :yahoo: and will have it until it no longer wants to run

The $500 is the easy part. Gee thats a cool bike. The $13000 six months later is .......ouch. maybe not
