So it just hangs in the breeze, no cap? Seems like you could have some tracking when the connector gets wet or dirty. It's my first time around with a Widder vest, suprised to see this arrangement.

 
I have a widder vest and this is how I have mine hooked up. I know some have it different than this.

Here is the inside of the vest.

Which is only hot when the key is in the on position

 
No dust cap. It just hangs out there nekkid, flopping in the breeze. Too, if you have hard water and wash your bike with it, check for HW residue build up on the contacts and clean it out. Kinda like a ******, ya know?

 
Thanks - I'll do the same except I think I'll just wire a powerlet plug to the blue sea and hide it under the seat when not in use.
