In case some of you don't subscribe to Motorcycle Consumer News, there is a review article about the Wilbers shock in the latest (November) issue. They state the following:

  • "the fit and finish is on par with Penske and Ohlins"

  • "In terms of performance, the Wilbers transformed the feel of the bike."

  • "The rear eand was much more planted, especially during transitions."

  • "The factory settings required no modifications."

  • "The latter comes as no surprised, as each shock is built to the owners specifications."

  • "We got a custom-built, rebuildable shock with a 5-year warranty at a price below other premium shocks."
These comments pretty much mirror my own experience with the Wilbers shocks.... on two different motorcycles.

Do they make one for a KLR? Hmmmm... :)

Rick

WC I am also interested in the group buy. Thanks for making the time.

Has anybody had experience with a Works Performance shock? I have never dealt with either company and was looking for a comparision.

Rogdeb bought a Works shock before the first group buy came along. They're almost always two up and have had no problems with it. The mounting of the remote preload adjuster leaves a little to be desired, but it seems to work fine.

Works are good shocks, I was thinking of getting one (they are good shocks & are local to me) before this group buy came up. I think I'll get the Wilbers.
