boy oh boy ,, am I pissed of ,,

I had waited 6 weeks to get a product from Wild Hair ,, after some time I called and canceled my order ,,

this week I have had to stop payment twice on a credit card charge from them ,,

tonight I am looking at my account on line and see I have been charged again ,,

I have called once again to leave a message ,, I have had no calls from them in reference to this ,, I am very unhappy with this situation ,,

has anyone had this kind of situation with them???

Sorry to hear about that; have ordered from them only twice, no problems...

not just a manufacturer's backorder, then?

I ordered sliders from wild hair, when I ordered they told me up front that they were out of stock, but I should have them in about 3 weeks, three weeks and two days later they where in the mail box. Sure seemed like stand up people to me.

I am sorry to hear that too. I had no problems with them. I ordered something from them and I recall it took a long time but they informed me that they were out of stock and that it would take about 3 weeks. They showed up pretty much when estimated.

I suggest calling them and telling them what has transpired...I am sure they'll work with you and fix the error.

I ordered from them and had great service - sorry to heard about the problem but I hope you call them and work things out - they seem like nice folks.

Just beware that Wild Hair will be on vacation from April 25 to May 1. You won't get any return calls or emails during that time.

I understand they will be away in the future ,, but I have had no responce from e mails and phone calls placed in the past ,,

I hope they will resolve this ,, my bank has once again stopped payment and put them on notiice not to charge my card again ,,

it's too bad ,, I wanted to do buisness with them ,, seems like a fluke ,, as you guys have not had problems in the past ,,

thanks for the info

I was in a similar situation like you when I wanted the CF engine cover, but I did get a response when I called. It was shipped way late (like 6 weeks late IIRC)

Not once did they ever call me to give me an update. I don't care for this kind of customer service, so I never went back.

From the responses above, it could possibly be a crap shoot dealing with them. There are lots of other good vendors who get mentioned around here, so I'd rather give them my $$$. YMMV.

No wonder they wouldn't answer the phone last week. It would be nice if they changed their anwering machine message to indicate that. In fact it would be nice if I could actually unstand the business name on their machine.

My last order from them was handled promptly.

WOW !!!

I just got off the phone with ? the guy from Wild Hair ,, I now know why this is their name !! he was indignant that there could be an issue with his company ,, did not want to listen ,, and talked over me till I just sat on the phone saying nothing ,,

after explaining my situation to him he said I was a liar ,, that they had shipped the cover (after I canceled the order) ,, and that they never charged my card several times ,, I just happened to be online with my bank and gave him the phone # that was used with his credit card machine ,, he asked how could I get that phone # ,, it is posted on the bank statement for tracking issues ,, he said he was not in the office on Friday and did not charge my card ,, but the statement shows a charge on Friday ,, the bank stopped payment on this charge on Sunday ,, then he said for me to send the cover back and we would be even ,, well ,, I can't return something I never received ,,

I must say that his attitude is not one that adds confidence in customer relations ,,

he gives the attitude that I am a stupid American and should just shut up and listen to him ,, that he will have to investigate this and see if I am telling the truth ,, well ,, it is Bank of America who is investigating him !!!

I have used several vendors from this forum and have had good results in the past ,,

Your a damn Liar and a stupid American, even with your evidence in hand!? :p

I'm sorry your going through this, feeling the wrong end of customer 'no service' is a real pain.

+1 on the crap shoot with Wild Hair. While some of my order arrived within a few weeks (late) of the three week expected delay, the rest of my order seemed to be ignored.

I can't say that my phone conversations with them gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling that makes me really want to do more business with them. I'm planning on taking the rest of my order elsewhere. I suspect the guy is great to ride with and probably knows his stuff. But he should put some 300+ pound chick with a 105 pound voice on the phone to deal with customers.

:)

Is there an alternative dealer for Moto/Moko sliders? I need to replace a puck.
Get those sweethearts from Skyway-probably priced the same and way pretty. Another set also here somewhere-polished and lettered in case you forget what bike they go on... :p

I've ordered a set of sliders for the 2006 from Motovation Motvation

Although I didn't notice them mentioned on this forum, they say they will be shipping them this week from within the USA. About $80 including shipping.

I didn't want the metal ones nor did I want to wait for them to come from Europe.

I'll let you know how it works out.

+1 so far for Motivation. Multiple email confirmations (order received, payment cleared, goods shipped) and next day shippment of Moto sliders and their bar ends.

Definitely agree on motvation...when I ordered, they were prompt....me being in Canada they shipped from U.S. & called me when the sliders were clearing customs at the border....+1 on service :eek:k:

I ordered the Moto Sliders from BikeJohnny.com in the UK for the 2006 FJR. Received them in 1 week...all excellent.
