windshield noise

Guys,

Quick question. I have been riding with my touring windshield since Nov and just recently it has been making a howling noise when i "roll" it down or when i turn the bike off and the windshield goes down by itself. It doesn't make the noise when moving it up but only down. Are there some lube points that i am missing? Anyone experiance this before.

2008 with about 7,900 on it.

In all seriousness I have an 08 with the touring shield and have never heard that noise.

Don't really know. Mine haven't fallen off or came loose.

Just remember reading stuff about some type of rubber "wiper" or guide in the track area..

Any of you ladys that have torn the shit outa your front ends got something to say?

Mine did the same thing.

Spray the tracks liberally with silicone lube and the noise will go away for a year or so an then you can do it again.

That's why they call it maintenance.
