i have been reading all the posts I have seen and haven't seen this one come up yet. I really would like not to have a wired system if possible and found this one today. I am sure there are others but as yet I haven't found them.

Any one with experience with this type of technology. I know its more $$ than a Starcom or similar product but I really don't want wires.

Thanks, Cary

I rune a (wired) Starcom... the later box , the Advance, has a Bluetooth option... it allows a Bluetooth enable helmet to work with the Starcom apparently... and the Satnav / phone etc

Looks simular to the Scala Rider. I have the Teamset, which comes with two units for about 200 bucks. The "Interphone" is one unit for about the same price. Am unclear about the bike to bike intercom but it sounds like a good deal, if this works. (your buddies would of course have to have the same unit also)

I've been fairly happy with the Teamset , but would like to hear from folks that use this device and how well it functions

KM

EDIT: wanted to mention that the Teamset has duel speakers, (left and right ear) which was a great selling point to me as my hearing is not what it used to be)

It's probably the Back Chat Vixen. I just bought a set from over the pond. $95 to the door. About a week.

Got a link to the dual speaker version?

Thanks, Cary

This is the link that shows the 3 diffrent headsets Scala Rider has:

As far as battery life, can't say for sure as have not run the units down or kept time. I just recharge them every few weeks. They kind of "shut down" if your not talking or listening to voice prompts from your GPS to save power, so again it would be hard to judge how many "hours of opperation" you get without keeping track somehow.

I do know that we have had them "on" for more than 5 hours on a trip once, so YMMV...

Here is one that a lot have been waiting for https://www.intaride.com/ridertopillion.html I am sure it will great for what you are looking for and I agree so much that I want it. But I couldnt wait for it last year when so I bought Starcom from Jeff at Bike Effects.

If you get this, post something about it and give a review. I would love to get ride of those damn wires.

Does anyone know of a device that will let me talk to my passenger, and let her listen to different music? We do not share the same tastes in music.

I would like to hear in my unit, music, GPS, and passenger. I don’t care much talking on the phone. It would be a plus if I could talk to other bikes. For her unit she would only need her own music and be able to talk with me.

Any ideas?

FYI as I am looking into wireless units for my wife and I, the blueant is being sold on EBAY for $274.95 per set. Two units.

Anyone try these out yet?

Here is a review I found...

I just bought one and it should arrive next week. I have been running the Scala rider for a few months now and am quite happy with it. I thought I would try the blue ant version and give some feedback.

I listen to music , phone and GPS with the rider (non-intercom version)

Hello,

That scala rider team units did not say anything about music or FM. Also did not say anything about other bike to bike. Does anyone know??

Thanks
