On sept 23 me on my FJR and my budy on his st we will be heading from St. Louis up to wisconsin for four or five days riding.

I have not been to Wisconsin and want guidance on good roads both pavement quality and curvesssssssss. By looking at map the southwest looks best but any input is aprieciated

Thanks

SW is big-time best including SE Minnesota. However, if you are going to be up there for that long, you should ride into the Upper Pennisula of Michigan and northern WI as well.

The best curvy, twisty roads are in the La Crosse and Eau Claire area. There are several folks on this site who live in and near there. I am originally from Manitowoc on the Lake Michican shore near Green Bay.

I would suggest you do a western WI ride up to and through the UP and back down looping around northern WI through the Tomahawk area.

Thing is you will not find anything even close to what you have close to home in southern MO and Arkansas. Beautiful up there though.

Agree with some good roads around the LaCrosse area. Had my first taste of them with CFO. Definitely plan on going back.

Having just gone through the UP in the last month or so, I would avoid it. Road construction is rampant on MI28, and 2 is nothing special. The main reason to take that way though, is to avoid the construction mess around Chicago...Avoid this at all costs.

Good luck on the trip and ride safe.
