Just picked up my 03 Fjr, 37 degrees and snowpack melting but loaded up with clothes and picked her up, what a ride and not even a hint of cold (EXCEPT HANDS) I made the right choice as my between the shoulder pain I had with my VTX1800 did not appear at least not in the 30 miles I rode. But what a smooth powerfull ride, CAN'T WAIT FOR DRY WARM WEATHER AS I FELT LIKE GOING A COUPLE HUNDRED TODAY :yahoo:

Oh yeah! You've got that permanent grin plastered on your face now, right? Grin so wide it makes your face hurt?

Congratulations!

I rode my '07 back from the dealer Wed and my face hurt for hours after I got home. :yahoo: Can't beat THAT feeling.

Vacman,

Congratulations to you and WoHoooo2 !! I have one and whaaaaaat a maaaachine.

So far I've done some 4-500 mile days (only because that was the end of the destination) and felt great and not road/body weary at all. It's unbelievably a smooth/stealthy machine.

Enjoy and many good rides to ya!

I know that feeling. When I first got my FJR (couple of weeks ago) all I thought was "why did I wait this long?" BTW, my friend has an '03 and loves it. I'm sure you will be happy too. Now, go get some warm gloves.

Yes I had that grin but it kept getting wiped away by the jerks not expecting a bike on such a day, couple tried to pull in front of me but flashing high beam and horn kept them at bay, need to get on the open road!

Congratulations! Those of us who KNOW, realize that you have the best FJR. I love my 03. :)

I have yet to experience all the power because of slick roads but Wow no problem in 35 degree weather as the fairing and shield does a great job, and Silver penguin I wish I still lived in HB as I worked in Capo beach and that ride every day was great!

Congratulations. You have the quickest of the different model years (US 2003). Each year since has either gotten slower off the line or slower while transitioning.

Come on back to the beach. The weather is perfect for riding. On Saturday, some friends and I spent the afternoon doing skill drills. It was so warm that a mesh jacket was enough (and pants, of course).

You'll hear some complaints about heat issues on the 03, but I've not found a problem. In the last 14mths, I've put about 15K miles on my FJR in temps ranging from mid 30s to 110. Heat no problem through either mesh or leather pants.

Even though it's just a machine, it's amazing what is does to your emotions. Just makes you feel good and eager to get it out and enjoy. Welcome..................We are faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamily..................

Heated gloves go very nicey with

their jacket liner...

Oh yeah, these folks ride... they've got a couple of the older Yammy 1000's or such?

the one that kinda looks like an FJR...... but the one I saw was maroon....

My kid had a VTX 1300.... it buzzed worse than my Harley vibrates!

The FJR is a fun bike.... but get a radar detector.... the FJR don't like speed limits....<G>
