I'm sitting here with vectervp1, skooterg, warchild, turbodave, etc. and we're about to gorge on our finishing feast.

The rally kicked our asses....between the mind melt down of a Scrabble concept gone twistedly awry to 1500 miles in 32 hours that doesn't seem like much, but seems more like I did 2700.

Vectervp1 says, "It was a hell of rally.....'words' don't do it justice."

The pun is apt.

Excuse me, but they want to see pictures of the other thread. We've all had our laptops security taped for the past 40 hours and been offline. We had to plan the rally all from paper maps locked in a room.

More when I get back home.....and sleep....or when I'm drunk and asleep... ;)

WORD! ZYZZVA ;)

Ig

FJR's and their riders represented VERY well. With the nominal speeds the bike make...they must have had more time to plan and untangle the word puzzles. By my sleep-challenged memory 3 of the top 4 were FJRs.

Specifically, RenoJohn placed 4th in his VERY FIRST rally.

Skooter's headlights popped a fuse again and he ran with his PHIDs in a downward position for the night time...and placed 2th. Either he's the luckiest bastard in the universe....or he's got great instinct and skill.

And easy-spoken GoFar sweeped the thing with a 1st place! Watch this guy in the '09 IBR...

LDRydr was in the top 10 and rookie.....and another 3 or 4 in the top 20 including me.

Stories to be sure to follow...and some may even be true and mildly exagerated.

The Cognoscente Staff just rocked dreaming this thing up! :clapping:

Must....need....sleep.

Signing off.

After a certain point, it's not the bike as much as the rider. It simply took a while for those riders to accept the FJR as appropriate for the task at hand (reliability, longevity, and performance wise).

Happy to hear everyone made it home safe.

Sounds like another, if you finish you're a winner rallys.

Congrads to all the finishers. :clapping:

...and placed 2th.
No, you don't need any more sleep. You're fine just as you are!

Ask him about his spelling error that cost him a Top 5 finish?!?!?!

Oh, and Iggy.....................

Better lucky than good! (But I can spell also! :p )

Somehow, I don't think I'll be forgetting that word anytime soon. I even looked it up. Hell, I may change my forum handle to ZYZZYVA now.

Another rally lesson learned and it was a healthy experience. And in the wise words of Jeff Earls, "...woulda, coulda, shoulda,.......didn't." ;)
