how come his head never moves :hmmsmiley02:
With the camera being mounted to the helmet, the helmet becomes a fixed reference point. He could have taken the helmet off and thrown it off the mountain and it would still appear as the helmet never moved.

When you ride standing up the bike moves around and you stay vertical,

generally.
I find that standing up just means that I fall that much further to the ground.

Not to take anything away from his skills, but that looks like one of those areas in central/southern utah (there's a place near Blanding--can't recall the name) where the dirt is really soft--almost like sand dunes. Not saying it would be fun to fall off the edge, but it's not like falling into rocks and trees. Still, he's obviously a really great rider. And, love the sound of a good running two stroke!

In the comments section of the video on YouTube someone mentioned the area was near Grand Junction, CO. There was also a comment from the rider stating that he has fallen off that ridge in the past. Now that would be a video to see.

Really, that small amount of snow on that soft dirt with a good set of knobbies isn't that big of deal. However, I don't think I would ride that if the trail was bone dry. Why?? Because I'm a *****, and I like all my joints and limbs shaped the way they are.
