Was it Beemerdons who told the kids to stop bickering?! This could go back and forth for a while (like religion and politics)
Um.... Wheatie....'politeness' is not a Canadian word (I think that's the word to which you referred?). It's a universal concept.
I felt Team USA's disappointment (proof: see my Facebook - I posted that right after the game). I hate to see anyone 'lose' in a competition like that.
Barb - and many like her - was not looking for an emotional expression of gratitude (like the US pair who 'lost' - ie won silver - to Virtue & Moir in skate dance). But a perfunctory 'thank you' would have been 'nice' (yikes - there we go again with that 'nice' s**t )
Hey! Look at that dickweed, Begg-Smith the Canadian-born Australian who wouldn't even speak to the Canadian press when he 'lost' (ie won silver) in freestyle skiing. So, you see, even WE don't have the 'politeness market' cornered
Regarding how the Canadian players and fans may have reacted to a silver win..... we're grateful we didn't find out
So..... Wheatie ..... we k: now ?
