So my wife says to me: "I'm tired of the BLUE. Can we get a RED bike?"

Me ( ): "What? Oh... Sure, as long as we can keep the BLUE bike too!"

2007 for sale anyone? :p

Yes, I think it is poor marketing that one is forced to a single color each year. I wonder how many more bikes they would sell if you could pick your color.

Same thing last year with the Honda NT700V: ABS only in silver, maroon without ABS. Geesh...

It's kind of like Henry Ford with the Model T's: "Any color you want as long as it's black."

Ken

2007 isn't red.
Indeed, it's brown! :D

You want a RED bike? On word:

Honda
Fixed that for you.

Actually, the one word is "Paint" because that's the only way to get a quality bike like the FJR in red. :D And for what a paint job would cost, it'd be less than the hit you take getting rid of the old bike and buying a new one.

I'm sure my 2004 FJR would look good in Red. In fact, didn't someone post photos of one that was painted Red?

Here's one:

Yep, and as seen, it looks damn good. And that says a lot as I don't even like red!

Of course, back in 2002, Yamaha did make the FJR1300 in red.

Pictures taken in 2007 during a Tour of the Orkneys. The other bike in each picture is my '06.

Maybe we can work something out...
I've since added the black wheels (which I powdercoated as well) ....

I'm still pondering doing the multi-color computer paintjob posted about a month ago. I have a number of rock chips that need to be covered up.

I'll have to see how my retirement budget works out this fall.
