Happy new year!

Was at a friend's yesterday and he told be about someone he knew who drove and old VW. When he went to get plates for it, since the car was over 25 years old, he found he could get hoby/antique plates for it. He thought the pic of the old car on the plates looked neat so got those for his car. They were the same price so he put them on and didn't think much of it. Until he went to a mechanic who asked him why he had that particular plate that said he hated jews. All hoby/antique plates start with the letters "HA" and his continued with 8JWS. So the plate on his *VW* read "HA8JWS". He took them back and the state gave him a new one with a less offensive number for free.

I wonder what the odds are of a tag with that particular "message" by chance being given to someone for a German car?

Not trying to be offensive, and am happily married with children to a woman of African descent, but always thought this was interesting...

I'm in aviation and all domestic aircraft tail numbers begin in "N". Now I have never seen this and will look it up, but it is rumored that the late Richard Prior had an "N"-number of November-one-six-six, Echo-Romeo on his plane, which would appear as such: N166ER

Just an urban legend, but I found out there is an aircraft with this tail number. It is an old Navy trainer.

Where's Al Sharpton?
